Sydney Discovery Tour of Nature and Culture: Off to a Great Start!
Our P.3 to P.6 students embarked on a 7-day study tour to Sydney, Australia, from June 18 to 24, 2026. This immersive journey extended learning beyond the classroom, integrating natural ecology, history, aesthetics, and language application to nurture globally competitive citizens with intercultural perspectives.
In Science & Ecological Ethics, students explored the Blue Mountains, Wild Life Sydney Zoo, and Sea Life Aquarium to study native species and the impacts of global warming, fostering values of environmental sustainability. For Historical Heritage & Urban Context, visits to The Rocks, St Mary’s Cathedral, and the Queen Victoria Building (QVB) allowed students to trace Sydney's development and examine the modern preservation of classical architecture.
To enrich Visual Literacy & Aesthetics, the group visited the Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA) and Hyde Park to interpret diverse art forms and analyze urban green space planning. Crucially, the entire tour provided English Immersion & Global Communication. Supported by a specialized English enhancement course, students completed tasks and interacted with local communities entirely in English, sharpening their language precision and building immense cross-cultural confidence.
