In celebration of the 77th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China, our principal, teachers, students, and parents participated in the "Hong Kong Education Sector Flag-Raising Ceremony in Celebration of the 77th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China" on 1st October 2026. Our Chinese Orchestra took the stage as student performers, introducing a vibrant cultural atmosphere and festive flair to this grand event.

During the performance session, students of the LCKPS Chinese Orchestra delivered a captivating performance of the classic Chinese piece, General's Command. Rich in history and tracing its origins back to the Tang Dynasty imperial court, this piece has been refined over centuries. It reflects the strategic wisdom of ancient generals and the heroic spirit of soldiers marching into battle.

Throughout the performance, students showcased their mastery of traditional Chinese instruments—including the Erhu, Dizi, Pipa, Yangqin, Zhongruan, and percussion. They skillfully navigated through the piece's four distinct movements: Sanban (free tempo), Manban (slow tempo), Kuaiban (fast tempo), and Jiban (presto). The melody seamlessly blended grace and powerful resonance, vividly portraying majestic scenes of galloping horses, thunderous battle drums, and unstoppable momentum, earning resounding applause from all guests, teachers, and students present.

Participating in this event served not only as a high recognition of our Chinese Orchestra's musical performance, but also provided a valuable opportunity for our students to pass on and promote profound Chinese culture while expressing their patriotism. We hope our students will continue to uphold the spirit of cultural heritage, striving for excellence on their journey of music and art.
